Shift Schedule: 5x8, 4 days on-site, 1 day remote. No call, nights, weekends
Pay Rate: $110-$150/hr
A hospital in San Francisco, California is looking for pediatric pulmonary nurse practitioners or physician assistants to provide additional coverage for increased patient load. Providers can expect to see both low acuity and high acuity pulmonology patients, both inpatient and outpatient in unit. Seeing typical pulmonary cases like asthma, bronchitis, BPD, sleep apnea.

Qualifications of Pediatric Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA):
Active CA Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
Board Certification: CPNP-AC (Highly preferred) AANC (FNP-C), ANCC (PPCNP-BC or FNP-BC), PNCB (CPNP-AC or CPNP-PC)
PALS/BLS Certification
DEA
EPIC experience
Minimum 1 year pediatric pulmonary or peds critical care experience required
Vent management exp strongly preferred
Pediatric trach and vent experience highly preferred, but not required
General pulm experience like – asthma action plans, general peds pulm skills
Sleep study experience is a plus
Duties/Responsibilities of Pediatric Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA):
Provide care for pediatric pulmonary patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Manage a caseload of 3-7 inpatients per day and up to 24 outpatients per week, depending on patient acuity
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 1 inpatient physician, 3-5 outpatient physicians, RNs, and MAs
Diagnose and treat common pediatric pulmonary conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, BPD, and sleep apnea
Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for documentation and patient care management
Participate in routine pulmonary care without the need for specialized procedures beyond standard practices
