Mental Health Therapist - LMFT or LPCC
Location: Corcoran, CA
Setting: Correctional Healthcare
Term: 6 months with ability to extend
Shift Schedule: Multiple shift schedules are available
Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr
A California State Correctional Facility in Corcoran, CA are looking for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors for the outpatient units. These positions are 6-month terms with the ability to extend. Part-time and full-time shift schedules are available, please inquire about your preferred schedule.

Qualifications of Licensed Professional Counselor:
Current California LPCC or LMFT License
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Duties/Responsibilities of Licensed Professional Counselor:
On-Call Services: Provide on-call support for patient emergencies, including consultation and crisis intervention, during scheduled workdays.
Initial Evaluations: Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including assessing criminal, psychological, and substance abuse histories to determine patient needs and recommend treatment.
Suicide Risk Evaluations: Perform suicide risk assessments, review clinical data, document findings, and consult with other professionals as needed.
Patient Meetings: Meet with patients for crisis intervention, group therapy, and in-person interviews, which may include visits to inmate housing units requiring stair climbing and long-distance walking.
Psychiatric Assessment: Identify and assess psychiatric disorders, consult with medical personnel and other staff, and manage presenting symptoms and potential adjustments.
