Qualifications of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):

  • Current California LCSW License

  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Duties/Responsibilities of Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):

  • Assess the social, emotional, and economic needs of inmates, including substance abuse, mental health, housing, and employment

  • Assist inmates with re-entry planning, including securing housing, employment, and community resources

  • Respond to and intervene in crisis situations, such as inmate disturbances, self-harm, and suicide attempts

  • Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and case managers

  • Work to ensure that inmates have access to appropriate services and support
