Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Setting: Clinic Patients and Infusion Center
Term: 3-6 months with ability to extend
Shift Schedule: Mon- Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No call.
Pay Rate: $150/hr
A clinic in Sacramento, CA is looking for Oncology Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to provide additional coverage for increased patient load. These locum tenens positions are a 3-6 month term with the ability to extend.

Qualifications of Oncology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP):
Active California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
Board Certified
BLS required
DEA required
Proficiency in EPIC
COVID vaccine and one booster required
1 year oncology experience within the last 3 years required
Duties/Responsibilities of Oncology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP):
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of oncology patients during treatment.
Work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist in the diagnosis of cancer and the development of treatment plans.
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments.
Educate patients and their families about the diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects.
Provide information on symptom management and supportive care.
